Information sessions – sustainable management of the Condamine Alluvium Aquifers
Growers are encouraged to attend information sessions about water recovery from the Central Condamine Alluvium. The Murray-Darling Basin Plan requires 40,400ML of nominal entitlement to be recovered from the total 86,600ML of entitlement in the Central Condamine Alluvium. Just over 3000 ML has been recovered through the previous five tender rounds.
Cotton Australia, Queensland Farmers’ Federation and Central Downs Irrigators Limited (CDIL) have developed a proposal to better manage water recovery. To better explain and seek your views on the proposal, information sessions will be held at:
- Cecil Plains Hall (September 27 at 2pm)
- Dalby BMO Offices (September 28 at 9am), and
- Pittsworth Motor Inn (September 28 at 3pm).
